Effects of Forest Conversion on Soil Ecosystem Services in Liuxihe National Forest Park, China

چکیده
The transition from natural forest to plantations has increased dramatically in the past decades. Forest conversion will affect soil properties and thus ecosystem services. Based on indicators, we studied differences of services among three types Liuxihe National Park analyzed effects artificial results showed that carbon sequestration evergreen broadleaf (EBF) was stronger, organic density (36.43 ± 0.97 kg m−3) significantly higher than moso bamboo (MBF) (25.46 1.72 sugar orange (SOF) (19.31 2.68 0–10 cm layer. water conservation MBF higher, its content EBF layers, which more 20% EBF. There no significant difference total nitrogen types, while phosphorus SOF twice It is important consider protection restoration parks.

“forest Ecosystem Services:
1. Forests (natural but also human-made or modified) are among the most important providers of ecosystem services for the whole world. 2. Based on scientific evidence, it is certain that: (a) Ecosystem services are essential to the survival of human beings. (b) Forest ecosystems operate and provide services on such a grand scale and in such intricate and little-explored ways that most cannot ef...
متن کاملAssessment of forest ecosystem services in China: A methodology
The methods of forest ecosystem services assessment vary between countries of the world. According to China’s characteristics and forestry situation, a systematic methodology of forest ecological benefits assessment was put forward by people who are concerned and devoted themselves into forest research in China. Indicator system was established according to forest multi-functionality, and asses...
متن کاملAdvances of air pollution science: from forest decline to multiple-stress effects on forest ecosystem services.
Over the past 20 years, the focus of forest science on air pollution has moved from forest decline to a holistic framework of forest health, and from the effects on forest production to the ecosystem services provided by forest ecosystems. Hence, future research should focus on the interacting factorial impacts and resulting antagonistic and synergistic responses of forest trees and ecosystems....
متن کاملEffects of forest conversion on soil microbial communities depend on soil layer on the eastern Tibetan Plateau of China
Forest land-use changes have long been suggested to profoundly affect soil microbial communities. However, how forest type conversion influences soil microbial properties remains unclear in Tibetan boreal forests. The aim of this study was to explore variations of soil microbial profiles in the surface organic layer and subsurface mineral soil among three contrasting forests (natural coniferous...
متن کاملAttitudes toward forest diversity and forest ecosystem services–a cross-cultural comparison between China and Switzerland
Aims: Despite the current interest in services provided by ecosystems and the role of biodiversity, the relationship among human attitudes, biodiversity and ecosystem services has hardly been investigated. Moreover, few studies have examined attitudes toward nature in cross-cultural comparisons. This study investigates the attitudes of Chinese and Swiss people, both environmental experts and la...
